Description

Simple, practical, and efficient, this filtration sump consists of two compartments:

• A first “constant level” compartment, whose water height can be adjusted via a movable partition, is the ideal place for optimal installation and operation of a protein skimmer. This compartment can also accommodate other equipment such as a fluidized bed filter, a calcium reactor, etc.
• A second “return” compartment, designed to house a return pump to send filtered water back to your aquarium.

Like all Turtle System sumps, this model includes numerous convenient accessories to ensure your setup is clean and practical:

• Water inlet and outlet via pressure PVC union fittings (diameter of your choice)
• Rigid removable tubing system for connecting your dosing pumps (customizable number)
• Holder for one or two heating elements (optional)
• Probe holder mounted on the movable wall to keep them at the correct height and in the center of the water flow for accurate readings (customizable number)
• Cable cutouts on the rear brace of the sump
• Transparent lids covering the entire sump, with optional custom cutouts for equipment passages

With fully customizable dimensions, this tailor-made sump will adapt to your technical equipment and space constraints. Ground dimensions are adjustable: width from 40 to 150 cm, depth from 40 to 90 cm (vertical reinforcements may be added for large sumps). Height is fixed at 38 cm. The width of the return compartment is also customizable, with a minimum of 12 cm.

This sump is made entirely of high-quality 8mm thick cast PMMA and assembled by welding. This process guarantees extreme durability, far superior to glued glass tanks. The material also makes the product lighter, easier to handle, and more resistant to accidental shocks.

The front face is entirely made of transparent PMMA for maximum visibility inside the sump. The other walls are made of opaque white or black PMMA to provide excellent protection from light emitted by adjacent refuges or frag tanks.

Removable transparent plastic lids provide good visibility inside the sump while minimizing evaporation.

Cable cutouts allow the installation of various electrical equipment inside the sump without hindering lid closure and help with neat cable management, keeping cables in place even when the lids are opened.
