Description

This product utilizes the powerful purifying properties of humic acid—a naturally occurring weak organic acid formed from decomposing organic matter in soil.

Humic acid has the ability to bind to many heavy metals, forming organo-metallic complexes that reduce their toxicity. These complexes are then easily removed by activated carbon filtration.

Below are the metallic elements this product can extract, listed in order of effectiveness:

• Copper (Cu2+)
• Lead (Pb2+)
• Iron (Fe3+, Fe2+)
• Aluminum (Al3+, Al(OH)+)
• Mercury (Hg2+, Hg(OH)+)
• Zinc (Zn2+)
• Tin (Sn2+ and synthetic organotin forms)
• Cadmium (Cd2+)

Other metal ions may also be captured, though less efficiently.

Humic acid also helps eliminate other pollutants such as:

• Phosphates
• Tannins
• Organic pesticides
• Phenols
• Oils and light hydrocarbons
• Certain pharmaceutical residues

Instructions for use:
Add 5 to 10 mL of product per 100 L of aquarium water, depending on pollution severity (5 mL for low pollution, up to 10 mL for severe pollution).
Remove all activated carbon filtration and stop ozone or UV-C sterilizer use.
Allow the product to act for 3 days, then filter aquarium water with activated carbon (follow the carbon manufacturer’s dosage instructions).
Coloration caused by the product is normal and will be removed by the carbon. The treatment can be repeated regularly with no risk to aquarium inhabitants.
